In May, we embarked on a memorable 7-day journey through the enchanting landscapes of Sikkim. We immersed ourselves in its natural beauty, rich culture, and serene atmosphere. The adventure began with a visit to Tsomgo Lake, where we were surrounded by snow-capped peaks and alpine forests, followed by a tour of Gangtok, the vibrant capital of Sikkim. A major highlight for us was the excursion to Nathula Pass, standing at an elevation of 14,140 feet, where we were awestruck by the marvellous views of the Indo-China border. The four of us then travelled to Pelling, a hidden gem offering stunning panoramic views of the mighty Kanchenjunga, the third-highest peak in the world. In Pelling, we also explored the famous Pemayangtse Monastery, trekked to the beautiful Khecheopalri Lake, and visited the beautiful Rabdentse Ruins. Overlooking the lush green hills, we also visited the Buddha Park at Ravangla hosting a 130 feet Buddha Statue, recommended by our driver enroute Pelling; a must see on your Sikkim tour. Our journey concluded with a day in Darjeeling, where we explored the infamous Darjeeling’s lush tea gardens, savoring the tranquility of the rolling hills. This carefully crafted itinerary offers the perfect blend of adventure, spirituality, natural beauty, and family bonding, and left us with unforgettable memories of Sikkim's charm.
